Christian Lagadec is an actor, writer, and director based in Los Angeles. Originally a literature major, he envisioned himself as a park ranger, secret agent, pianist, thief, and several other equally viable options but chose acting as a professional shortcut. That shortcut led to a recurring role on NBC’s Grimm, a supporting role in Eugene Ashe’s Sylvie’s Love (Amazon Prime), and an aristocratic performance in HBO Max’s Our Flag Means Death.
As a filmmaker, Lagadec writes and directs short films about being human. Giving Back, his first short film, explores the tension between artistic generosity and commercial pragmatism. Red Flag is a deadpan character study built around a classified ad about the promise of time travel. His next short, Compact Cops, is a comedy about institutional constraints and the inventive workarounds they inspire.
He is currently developing his first feature, continues to pursue acting, and does his best thinking in the shower.
